Get ready for the Summer Science Experience
Students majoring in mathematics and computer science, physics, chemistry, or the life sciences join leading research groups and take part in meaningful scientific work, both theoretical and hands-on.
Participants work alongside senior scientists in advanced research environments, gaining direct exposure to scientific inquiry and contributing to ongoing research projects.
This immersive summer experience deepens scientific knowledge, strengthens research skills, and supports future academic and professional growth.
Program Highlights
Over eight weeks, you’ll take part in a personalized, cutting-edge research project led by the head of your research group. This hands-on experience goes beyond theory, immersing you in real scientific inquiry and meaningful contributions to your field.
Projects span areas such as cancer research, plant biotechnology, sustainable technologies, and advanced materials, reflecting the program’s broad scientific scope.
By the end of the program, you’ll gain practical skills, tangible research outcomes, and valuable experience that prepares you for the challenges of a scientific career.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate in the Kupcinet-Getz International Summer Program, it is required that:
• You are currently a bachelor or a master’s student (not PhD) in the Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematics or Computer Science, after completing the first year of your studies.
• You are a recent graduate of a bachelor degree program in the Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematics or Computer Science, and thinking of continuing your academic journey.
• Students in combined BSc/MSc or BA/MA programs may apply.
• You present evidence of a serious interest in scientific research. Previous experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• You have a GPA of 3.6/4.0 or the equivalent in the grades associated with your major subject.
• You are fluent in English, as it is the language of instruction for the program.
