Discover the Negev Desert as you become a sand surfer, gliding across the dunes. Enjoy a camel trek and traditional Bedouin hospitality, then visit Ein Hod Artists’ village. Take a cable car ride where the sea meets the cliffs at Rosh Hanikra. You will also experience Israel’s fabulous foods, visit breathtaking wineries, and so much more!

Double Occupancy: $4525 CDN per person to Weizmann Canada

Single Occupancy: $5000 CDN to Weizmann Canada

Kindly note that the price does not include the cost of the Tel Aviv Hilton, airfare or any optional hotel upgrades (all rates are based on standard rooms).

DAY ONE – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 10th – WEIZMANN INSTITUTE

  • Full Israeli Breakfast at the hotel
  • Full day with the Weizmann Institute of Science
    • Learn about ground-breaking research in areas such as: Artificial Intelligence, New Materials, Neuroscience and Cancer
    • Spend time with scientists in their labs
    • Tour the magnificent grounds of the Institute, including the home of Vera and Chaim Weizmann as well as Chaim Weizmann’s original laboratory
    • Play and explore in the Clore Garden of Science
  • Opening Gala at the Weizmann Institute

Overnight: Tel Aviv

DAY TWO – MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11th – TEL AVIV

  • Full Israeli Breakfast at the hotel
  • Morning at the Weizmann Institute of Science through lunch time
    • Meet and mingle with supporters from around the world
    • Hear about some of the recent breakthroughs and new initiatives
    • Celebrate some of the recent major gifts and new inscriptions on the Donor Wall
  • Meet with guide and bus
    • Lunch in the Jaffa Market
    • Explore the historic neighborhood of Old Jaffa, with its alleyways, flea market and trendy port area, complete with restaurants and shopping for everyone.  Make sure to stop by the historic Ottoman-era clock tower and St. Peter’s Church.
    • Return to Hotel
    • Weizmann Gala; Past Forward: Science, history and art for the benefit of humanity and dedication of the Dr. Barry Sherman Institute for Medicinal Chemistry

Overnight: Tel Aviv

DAY THREE – TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12th – BORDERS / NEGEV

  • Full Israeli breakfast at the hotel
  • Ever wonder what its like to be a soldier in the IDF? Find out at the IDF Security School, where you will learn to shoot with Israeli’s elite military veterans and engage in informative, yet exciting IDF counter-terror simulations.
  • Meet with local Bedouin Family for an authentic hosted experience in their tent and unique story about their life in Israel!
  • Learn the secrets of farming in the Negev Desert at the Ramat Hanegev Agricultural Center, joined by Weizmann Scientist
  • Return to Tel Aviv
  • 8:00 p.m. Dinner at Claro
  • Return to Tel Aviv

DAY FOUR – WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13th – WEIZMANN INSTITUTE

  • Full Israeli breakfast at the hotel
  • Morning of science and celebrations at the Weizmann Institute of Science as part of the International Board meetings
  • Festive luncheon at the Institute with fascinating keynote address
  • Afternoon at leisure
  • Festive Closing Gala honoring the Beck family and bidding a fond farewell to outgoing Institute management

Overnight: Tel Aviv

DAY FIVE – THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14th – COASTAL PLAIN

  • Full Israeli breakfast at the hotel
  • Departure from the hotel
  • Visit the Ein Hod Artists’ Village, home to 150 artists of all different mediums, located in northern Israel. These artists live among olive groves and fruit orchards, creating fascinating works of art that are displayed in important private and institutional collections. Take part in a hands-on art workshop with one of the many artists living in the village.
  • Traditional Hummus lunch in Akko
  • Explore the historic town of Old Akko: as one of the oldest ports in Israel, it boasts archaeological wonders spanning the entire length of the port’s history. Visit the famous Templars’ Tunnel along the coast, the expansive Knights’ Halls, and the charming open-air market. Joined by Weizmann Scientist
  • Enjoy a cable-car ride with a stunning view of the only point in the country where the sea meets the cliffs at Rosh Hanikra. Take a footpath through the grottos and put yourself at the heart of this beautiful natural site.
  • A spectacular evening dinner in the wilderness with the amazing Chef Tal including music, singing, dancing, and more
  • Continue to the hotel and check in

Overnight: Bayit B’Galil, North

DAY SIX – FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15th – GOLAN / HULA VALLEY

  • Full Israeli Breakfast at the hotel
  • Learn about the mass migration of birds through the Hula Valley at Agamon Hahula with a special bird tagging presentation
  • Compete against one another in the Master Chef Hummus competition at the Dubrovin Farm followed by a delicious BBQ lunch – Here the Adir Winery will set up a tasting as part of lunch with one of their wine specialists
  • Return to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure
  • 8:00 pm on Friday night together at the hotel

Overnight: Bayit B’Galil, North

DAY SEVEN – SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16th – GOLAN / HULA VALLEY

  • Full Israeli breakfast at hotel
  • Day at leisure to enjoy the hotel and spa
  • Optional tour day:
    • Enjoy the beauty of this serene national park at Agamon Ahula. For an extra special activity that the kids will love, take a ride on the Mystery Wagon and view the migration of thousands of birds across the valley.
    • Explore the Tel Dan Nature Reserve, complete with wading pools, archaeological wonders, and even the water source for the Dan and Jordan rivers. Home to the remains of a 5000-year-old city from the time of Solomon, this used to be the northernmost city of the ancient Kingdom of Israel.
    • Taste the fine wines of the Golan Heights at one of the local wineries.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • 7:00 pm – Dinner at the hotel

Overnight: Bayit B’Galil, North

DAY EIGHT – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17th – DEPARTURE

  • Full Israeli breakfast at the hote
  • Group departure transfer to Ben Gurion Airport – time TBD
  • Flight back home
