Join the Weizmann League, Weizmann Canada’s young professionals network, on Sunday, April 25 at 11 a.m. ET for a timely discussion with Dr. Yoav Livneh on mental health and the connection to the body.
Mental health difficulties have been even more prevalent during this pandemic. According to a recent Leger report, a staggering 63 per cent of Canadian Gen Zers (born between 1996-2010) and millennials (born between 1981-1996), said the pandemic has had a negative impact on their psychological health.
Dr. Livneh, from Weizmann’s Department of Neurobiology, will explore how the brain and body ‘talk’ to each other —a process known as interoception—and its impacts on health or mental illness.
Catie Fenn, a Toronto-based speaker, life coach and lawyer will be the moderator for the event, which will kick off the Weizmann League’s initiative to raise $15k for mental health research by May 31.
We appreciate your support and hope you will join us.
