Join the Weizmann League for Science on Tap with Weizmann Institute President, Prof. Alon Chen on Tuesday, December 6! Register now for an evening of drinks, networking and world-leading science!
We are excited to have our first in-person Toronto Weizmann League event in over three years, as we welcome our network of young professionals, philanthropists and newcomers to the Weizmann community.
In addition to being President of the world-renowned Weizmann Institute of Science, Prof. Alon Chen is also a very active scientist, with his research focusing on how brain function is disrupted in stress-related disorders, like depression. A couple of his studies of interest include:
• Advancements in ketamine-based depression therapies (which would be the biggest advancement since the approval of Prozac in 1987), and,
• The effect of oxytocin (a.k.a. the love hormone) on couples during the pandemic lockdown, when some found their love renewed while others are on their way to divorce court.
At Science on Tap you will hear more about Prof. Chen’s research and other exciting advancements at the Weizmann Institute, while meeting other young professionals and passionate philanthropists.
We appreciate your support and hope to see you there!
Science on Tap is brought to you by Weizmann Canada’s Weizmann League. The Weizmann League is a network of young professionals committed to raising awareness and support for the transformative research at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Learn more
