About this event

Join Weizmann Canada’s Women for Science on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 for an exclusive conversation with award-winning novelist, Emma Donoghue and Weizmann’s Prof. Michal Neeman.

Emma Donoghue’s bestselling book, The Pull of the Starsfocuses on a nurse in Ireland during the 1918 influenza pandemic, which has striking parallels to the current pandemic.

Weizmann’s Prof. Michal Neeman will join as the featured scientist to share her research including studying COVID-19 and its effect on pregnancy and fetal development.

Joining to moderate the event is Laurie May, co-founder and co-president of Elevation Pictures, one of the largest independent film and television distribution companies in Canada.

We appreciate your support and hope you will join us!

Optional: A copy of Emma Donoghue’s book, The Pull of the Starscan be purchased here.
